Dr Kirra Krisch
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr Kirra Krisch (she/her) is a clinical psychologist who has completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. Kirra has worked across diverse clinical settings, including university research programs, private practice, school settings, and the mental health inpatient unit at Gold Coast University Hospital. During these roles, Kirra worked with clients across the lifespan with anxiety disorders, OCD, attachment problems, trauma, emotion regulation issues, parenting approaches and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). She has experience delivering intensive exposure with response prevention (ERP) for children, adolescents, and adults with OCD.
Kirra has published several studies in the area of anxiety disorders, including the modification of exposure therapy to improve the long-term effectiveness for specific and multiple phobias. She strives to be at the forefront of evidence-based psychological treatments, and is particularly interested in the role of virtual reality in enhancing treatment outcomes for individuals dealing with specific phobias and other anxiety disorders. Kirra has also provided guest lectures in undergraduate Psychology courses at Griffith University and she is a STAP accredited supervisor.
Kirra is passionate about providing clients an individualised approach to best achieve their therapy goals. She enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to overcome their anxiety, fears and internal conflicts.
