Taka Miyamoto
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Taka (he/him) is a clinical psychologist, who completed his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University in 2018. Taka has published research in areas of body dysmorphic symptoms and virtual reality exposure therapy for dog phobia.
Taka has experience delivering and supervising exposure with response prevention (ERP) for children, teens and adults with OCD, including parent training of ERP and intensive exposure. He has worked across diverse clinical settings and across the lifespan, including in outpatient clinics, university anxiety and OCD research programs, and private practice.
Taka has a keen interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety disorders and OCD. He is also a board approved supervisor and available to offer supervision services. Taka shows enthusiasm and warmth in his collaborative approach with clients and is passionate about helping people to overcome their difficulties and lead a rewarding life.
Taka is currently accepting new clients and consults on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
