CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY REGISTRAR

Vinny (she/her) is a registered psychologist and is currently completing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She has a special interest in treating anxiety in neurodivergent young people. Her research area is in the field of Autism, with a focus on children and their parents and mindfulness-based interventions. She has also completed the advanced teacher training course: MYmind (a mindfulness based intervention for neurodivergent children and their parents).

Vinny has worked across a range of mental health presentations across the lifespan and in diverse settings, including the Griffith University health clinic and Queensland Health Crisis Stabilisation Unit, Inpatient Adult Mental Health, and Child Development Service.

Vinny uses an individualised approach to support clients with their needs, using a range of evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, strength-based therapy, and parenting skills. She is currently receiving training and supervision in treating OCD and related disorders.

Vinny is passionate about helping clients overcome challenges, build resilience and reach their individual goals so that they may live more meaningful lives.
